Confidentiality

The nature of any coaching relationship is private and confidential.  

This means that the content of coaching will not be shared outside of the relationship and where there are third party stakeholders, the coaching client will be responsible for sharing and divulging pertinent information. In this way the client may be assured of the coach’s confidence at all times.  

 

Data Collection & Storage 

Personal Data

The following data will be held electronically:  

  • Name and contact details: address, email and mobile number.  

  • Documentation appertaining to the coaching relationship such as initial briefing, coaching plan.  Occasionally some clients provide psychometric or 360 degree information. 

All personal data will be stored and protected for the duration of the coaching assignment.  

Six months post the assignment, all data except the name, contact details and the coaching hours will be deleted and destroyed.  

Name, contact details and coaching hours will be kept for the professional credentialling purposes 

 

Types of Data Collected


Website Data  

Cookies:  When someone visits beverleymcmaster.com we use cookies to collect information about their browsing behaviour.   This includes information about pages viewed and their website journey.  

Google Analytics collects standard internet log information which is processed with complete anonymity.  It is not possible for us to ascribe behaviour to an individual and nor do we allow Google to do the same.  

Additionally Squarespace, who host the site uses cookies to optimise site performance and collect user data.   The cookies placed on this site by Squarespace are all essential.  The use of non-essential user cookies is disabled. 

 

Personal Data Website Collection

Where you provide your personal data via this website your name, email address and any other contact or personal information that you provide, the information will be used In accordance with the stated purposes for which it is collected.  

We use Mailchimp to deliver occasional email marketing and gather statistics in relation to any such activity, as per the standard industry functionality of the Mailchimp service.   Mailchimp services are also GDPR compliant.  Please see Mailchimp Privacy Policy.   

Removal of data used for email marketing.  

You may unsubscribe from our email marketing at any time using the unsubscribe option clearly displayed on the communication or by emailing beverley@beverleymcmaster.com.  

 

Personal Data for Other Purposes 

In the event that we engage in a coaching relationship certain personal data will be stored for the operation of that relationship.  This data may include name, address, contact details, psychometric data you may share, 360 feedback information you may share, intake information and coaching plan.   All data is secured on one computer and password protected.  Back up is to an external hard drive, also password protected and not to the cloud.  Any personal data is removed and destroyed 6 months post the completion of the coaching assignment with the exception of the coaching data recorded in the coaching hours log. 

 

Coaching Hours Log 

For professional accreditation purposes a record of coaching hours is maintained.  This record is made up of name, contact email, hours coached and the time period over which the coaching took place. 

The retention and processing of personal data in the event of coaching relationship is covered as part of the initial contracting process.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

This policy is effective November 2020 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately.
